Shadow In the Woods

 Here's my dark & grim version of Little Red Riding Hood: 

In a village shrouded in perpetual twilight, a young girl named Little Red Riding Hood lived with her mother. One day, her mother asked her to take a basket of food to her sick grandmother who lived in a secluded cottage deep within the forest.

As Little Red Riding Hood walked through the forest, the trees seemed to close in around her, casting long, ominous shadows on the ground. She encountered a wolf with glowing yellow eyes, who introduced himself with a low, menacing growl.

The wolf, driven by his insatiable hunger, tricked Little Red Riding Hood into straying from the path. He ran ahead, his paws barely making a sound on the forest floor, and arrived at Grandmother's cottage before Little Red Riding Hood.

When Little Red Riding Hood arrived, she found the wolf disguised as her grandmother, waiting in bed. The wolf's eyes gleamed with malevolence as he invited Little Red Riding Hood to come closer. She approached cautiously, sensing something was amiss.

As she drew nearer, the wolf pounced, his jaws wide open. Little Red Riding Hood tried to scream, but her voice was muffled by the wolf's swift attack. The wolf devoured her, and then lay in wait for the woodcutter who would eventually come to rescue Little Red Riding Hood.

But in this dark version, there was no rescue. The wolf's hunger was insatiable, and he ate the woodcutter too. The forest was left to its darkness, and the village was never seen again.

This grim tale is reminiscent of the original versions of Little Red Riding Hood, where the wolf emerges victorious.
