My Restoration Story

Image
How God Gave Me Back My Joy, My Marriage, and My Makeup Business For the past few years, God has been restoring my life piece by piece. Not all at once — more like little surprises, one blessing at a time. And one of the biggest surprises was getting my makeup business back. I’m officially a Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay again, and honestly… I feel like myself for the first time in a long time. But to understand why this means so much, I have to tell my story. πŸ’„ Where It All Started Back in 2017, I started a business with Younique. Their mission was to uplift, empower, and validate women everywhere — especially women who had been abused. I loved that. I loved their makeup. I loved the confidence it gave women. And I loved learning everything I could. I was self‑taught. Every day I got better. Every day I learned new tips and tricks. I even started my own Facebook group called “Ashley Sirens’ Makeup” — and it’s still up and running. I had a YouTube channel. I was excited. I was ...

Fairest of Them All😈🍎

πŸ˜ˆ "Fairest of Them All: A Tale of Dark Reflections" has a deliciously dark twist on the classic title. It works perfectly for this twisted version of Snow White 😈 I hope you like. An Ai picture of me was my inspiration for this short story.  In the moon-drenched crypt of the ancient palace, where shadows danced like skeletal courtiers, the Evil Queen, crowned with tarnished silver and veiled in black lace, confronted her own reflection in a shattered mirror. The glass fissured, not from her waning beauty, but from the curse of the forest's ancient blood-magic, whispered through the veins of the land like a dying breath. As Snow White's enchanted kiss of vengeance touched the queen's cold, rouged lips, a black, tar-like ichor spilled from her mouth, staining her regal attire and pooling at her feet like liquid night. The queen's heart, blackened by ambition, stopped beating the moment the cursed blood dripped onto the ancient rune-etched floor, summoning a l...

Anger 😑🀬

Anger is one of the enemy's most subtle weapons, often beginning as a small spark of offense, a wound, a harsh word. If it is not brought under God's authority, it can quickly become a raging fire that consumes everything around it. The Word of God warns us about the dangers of allowing anger to take root in our hearts. Proverbs 29:22 says, 'An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.' Anger has a way of dismantling what once stood strong, tearing apart friendships, dividing families, poisoning marriages, and leaving destruction in its wake. Words spoken in anger can cut deeper than knives, and once released, they cannot be taken back. Anger not only harms others, but it also torments the one who carries it, robbing the heart of peace and filling the mind with constant turmoil. The enemy loves to whisper lies, and in moments of anger, replaying offenses, magnifying hurt, and convincing a person to hold on to bitterness. The Bible say...

When God Restored the Voice That Trauma Tried to Steal

Image
There are moments in life that try to break you — & then there are moments when God steps in & begins to rebuild you from the inside out. This milestone is one of those moments for me. Recently, I woke up in the middle of the night unable to move, unable to speak, & overwhelmed by fear. It felt like something was pressing on me, holding me down, & trying to silence me. I tried to say “stop,” tried to call for help, but the words wouldn’t come out. When I finally broke free & woke fully, I sat still, gathered myself, & then spoke the only name that has ever brought me out of darkness: Jesus. I rebuked the fear. I cast out the heaviness. I covered myself in the blood of Christ. & peace returned. But the moment stayed with me — because it touched a wound I’ve carried since I was a young woman. 🌿 A Wound I Never Asked For When I was a teenager, A guy I dated & trusted gave me alcohol I had never had before. I was taken advantage of, & nine more people w...
