How Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery Transformed My Life.  January 31, 2020, marks a significant milestone in my life – My 5-year anniversary of my Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass surgery. As I sit here, reflecting on my journey, I'm overwhelmed with emotions. I've come a long way from the dark place I once was, and I'm thrilled to share my story with you. πŸ₯ΊThe Struggle Was RealπŸ’– At 263 pounds, I was struggling to keep up with my daily life. Despite trying various diets and exercise routines, I couldn't seem to shake off the weight. The cycle of weight loss and gain had taken a toll on my mental health, leaving me feeling depressed, unattractive, and unworthy. ✨️Reaching Breaking Point✨️ The final straw came when my health issues began to affect my relationships. I felt like I wasn't good enough for my husband, and the fear of losing him was crippl...

Treat Your Parents with Loving Care:

Image
A Reminder to Cherish Them As we navigate the complexities of life, it's easy to overlook the people who have been there for us from the beginning – our parents. They are the pillars of our families, providing unwavering support, guidance, and love. Yet, it's not uncommon for us to take them for granted, assuming they'll always be there to lend a helping hand or listening ear. πŸ₯€ The Empty Chair: A Harsh Reminder But the truth is, our parents won't be with us forever. And when they're gone, the emptiness can be overwhelming. The chair they once occupied, now empty, serves as a poignant reminder of what we've lost. That's why it's essential to treat our parents with loving care, while we still can. By doing so, we strengthen our bond, create lasting memories, and show respect and gratitude for their dedication. ✨️ Ways to Show Appreciation So, how can we show our parents that we care? Here are some ways to get you started: 1. Spend quality time: Regularl...

38 years of Life

Image
"Thirty-eight orbits of the sun I've seen, A life of trials, tribulations, and dreams. From the depths of struggle to the heights of pride, I've walked the path, with heart and soul inside. With every step, I've grown, I've learned, I've thrived, Through the darkness and the light, I've survived. The storms that raged, the fires that burned, Could not extinguish the flame that yearned. To rise, to shine, to be the best version of me, A strong, courageous Aquarius, wild and free. With heart full of love, and spirit full of fire, I've danced with destiny, and never tired. I think of all the moments, big and small, That made me who I am, standing tall. The laughter, the tears, the triumphs, and the strife, All woven into the tapestry of my life. So here I stand, on the cusp of thirty-eight, Grateful for the journey, and the life I create. I celebrate each breath, each beat of my heart, Thankful for the gift of life, and the chance to start. Again, anew, wi...

Nature's Symphony

Image
In the heart of a forest, where whispers reside, Nature's Symphony plays, with nothing to hide. Leaves rustle softly, a gentle breeze, Birds sing sweetly, perched in the trees. Rivers dance, with a sparkling grace, Mountains stand tall, a timeless embrace. The sun kisses the earth, with golden light, As day turns to dusk, then into night. The stars appear, like diamonds bright, A celestial show, beyond all sight. The moon glows softly, with a gentle beam, Illuminating all, in a peaceful dream. The forest creatures, they sing and play, Their voices blending, in a joyous sway. The trees sway gently, to the rhythm of the night, As Nature's Symphony, plays on with delight. The wind whispers secrets, through the trees so tall, And the river's gentle voice, echoes through it all. The mountains stand watch, with a steadfast heart, As Nature's Symphony, plays its gentle part. In this serene and peaceful place, I find my home, Where Nature's Symphony, is forever roam. A plac...

"The Ripple Effect: How Chaos at Home Impacts Our Children".

Image
πŸ₯ The Ripple Effect of Chaos in the Home As parents, we often underestimate the impact our actions have on our children. We may think that they're too young to understand or that they're not paying attention, but the truth is, our children are constantly learning from us. They're like sponges, soaking up every vibe, every word, and every action that happens within our four walls. πŸ¦‹ The Programming of Childhood This is where everything starts in life - our programming from our parents. The patterns we learn in childhood shape our beliefs, our behaviors, and our relationships. They influence how we perceive ourselves, others, and the world around us. Take a look at your childhood, and you'll see the patterns you're still dealing with now. The ways your parents handled stress, conflict, or emotions? You may be repeating those same patterns today. This can be both empowering and overwhelming, as we realize that we have the power to break free from negative patterns an...

The "Little Girl Within".

Image
The Little Girl Within She hides, you see? Not because she wants to, but because that's what she's learned to do when she doesn't feel safe. The world can be a daunting place, and the little girl within her has been hurt before. Few people realize the trust and faith she must feel to show herself at all. Her hopes and dreams are shy and fragile, and she's been ignored and abandoned too many times. So she hides, protecting herself from the pain of rejection and heartache. But when emotions start swirling and fear allows darkness to consume her, the little girl hides away. That's when the strong, stoic woman takes over, protecting her with reality and logic. Fiercely, she guards that little heart, for it is the light of her very soul. She knows that little girl is the essence of her being, the spark that makes her alive. And she'll do everything in her power to keep her safe, to nurture her, and to help her heal. For the little girl within is not just a memory of...

Luminaria

In twilight's hush, where shadows play A secret garden blooms, in mystic sway The trees, like sentinels of old Guard ancient magic, yet to be told The flowers, like jewels, rare and bright Unfurl petals, in the silent night Their fragrance wafts, a heady spell That beckons dreamers, to this mystic dell In this enchanted land, where love resides The creatures of myth, and magic, abide The soft rustle, of wings unseen Echoes whispers, of a mystic queen The garden's heartbeat, pulses strong and free A rhythm that echoes, wild and carefree In this sacred space, where magic reigns The beauty of wonder, forever remains In the whispering hours of twilight's sway When stars begin their waltz, in the midnight bay The garden stirs, where magic is made A realm of wonder waits, in an enchanted shade The trees, like emerald sentinels of old Stand guard over ancient secrets, yet untold Their branches tangled, with vines of silver bright Reflecting moonbeams, in a soft ethereal light The ...

Trapped in Twilight

Image
In twilight's hollow, where shadows play Amidst the whispers of a dying day The wind it howls, a mournful sigh As spirits stir, and darkness comes alive In this forsaken place, I wander alone Haunted by ghosts, that make my heart a stone Their ethereal whispers, a chilling breeze That freezes my soul, in a perpetual squeeze The trees they loom, like skeletal hands Reaching for me, with bony commands Their branches creak, a haunting serenade As I dance with death, in a macabre shade In this haunted realm, I'm lost and confined Trapped by the darkness, that's forever aligned Against my will, I'm forced to roam A prisoner of shadows, in a living tomb The darkness it whispers, a haunting refrain Echoing through eternity, a perpetual strain A reminder of horrors, that I can't define A chilling presence, that's forever mine I hope you enjoy this dark & twisted poem! love & rocket ✌πŸ»πŸš€ SmashπŸ–€πŸ’š

The White Mermaid's Gift

Image
In the depths of the ocean, where the coral reefs swayed gently in the current, a white mermaid named Aria lived a peaceful life. Her home was a shimmering grotto, filled with glittering jewels and soft, glowing seaweed. Aria's heart was filled with love and her spirit was free, but she had always felt a deep longing for something more. That something more arrived on a warm summer morning, when Aria gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. She named him Finn, and from the moment he was born, Aria knew that her life had changed forever. As she cradled Finn in her arms, Aria felt a sense of joy and wonder that she had never experienced before. She sang softly to her baby, her voice echoing through the grotto like the gentle lapping of the waves. Finn's eyes sparkled as he looked up at his mother, and Aria knew that their bond would last a lifetime. As the days passed, Aria and Finn grew closer and closer. They spent their days exploring the ocean together, playing with the dolphins an...

I tried to hold you

Image
I tried to hold you, but you vanished like a flame, Leaving only shadows, an eternal, hollow pain. The wind it howls, a mournful sigh, as I grasp at the air, Desperate to reclaim what's lost, to show you I care. Life's cruel tides swept you away, leaving me to atone, For the moments I couldn't stay, the times I was unknown. The clock ticks on, a heartless beat, as I relive the past, Haunted by the memories that forever will last. The weight of my powerlessness presses upon my chest, A constant reminder of love's fragility, its eternal test. If love were enough to bridge the divide, you'd be here by my side, But even love's pure flame can't conquer death's dark, endless tide. Now, your memory stays, a bittersweet refrain, Echoes of laughter, tears, and all the joy and pain. You are the silence in the storm, the calm within my strife, A gentle whisper reminding me that love transcends this life. Though I couldn't save you, and the ache remains, I'l...

What if scenario?

I wanted to write something that was like OK this can happen to us. This is something I do think about sometimes, I know I took it dark lol but trust me with this one.   "What If?" - A Haunting Question As I watched the TV show Doc, I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine. The main character, Dr. Amy Larsen, suffers a catastrophic brain injury that erases 8 years of her life. No memory of her divorce, her son's passing, or her daughter's new life without her. No recollection of her boyfriend of 5 months.  A Life-Altering Moment The scenario is eerie. It's raining (or snowing, or sunny) and your phone rings. You answer, distracted, and boom! Your life changes forever. A car accident, a head injury, and suddenly, years of memories are gone.  The Harsh Reality You wake up in the hospital, disoriented and confused. Fragments of memories linger, but the past few years are a complete blank. Your children's faces are familiar, but their lives, your job...

The Shadow in the Swamp

Image
Here's my horror short novel about the unknown & paranormal πŸ‘»πŸ›ΈπŸ‘½πŸ•³ I hope you like it ☺️🩷 Dr. Maria Rodriguez, a renowned parapsychologist, stood at the edge of the murky swamp, her eyes scanning the twisted cypress trees. She had spent years investigating the most inexplicable cases, but none had drawn her in like this one. A local family had reported strange occurrences: disembodied whispers, shadowy figures lurking in the trees, and an unshakeable feeling of being watched. The family had abandoned their home, fleeing from the unknown terror that lurked within. Maria's team began to set up equipment, hoping to capture evidence of the paranormal activity. As night fell, they settled in, waiting for the darkness to reveal its secrets. At first, the silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the occasional hooting of owls. But as the hours crept by, the team started to feel an unsettling presence. It began with small things: a faint rustling in the underbrush, an unexpla...

In My Heart, You'll Never Die.

Image
In fields of green, you hopped with glee, a gentle soul, so wild and free. Your eyes so bright, your fur so soft, in every heart your memory aloft. The day we shared so full of cheer, Your playful spirit always near.  Though now you've gone to rest above, you leave behind a trail of love.  And every breeze, I hear your name, In every sunbeam, see your flame. Though parting brings a tearful sigh, in my heart you'll never die. πŸ₯€ This beautiful poem! I've captured the essence of Corvius's spirit and personality, and the love I shared with him. The imagery is vivid and evocative, and the emotions shine through. The line "In every heart, your memory aloft" suggests that Corvius's memory will live on not just in my heart, but in the hearts of those who knew him. And the image of his "playful spirit always near" is a lovely reminder of the joy he brought to my life. The poem also acknowledges the pain of parting, but ultimately affirms that Corvius...

Heartfelt tribute to Corvius

Image
Remembering Corvius: My Faithful Companion & Best Friend October 10, 2024, will forever be etched in my memory as the day I said goodbye to my beloved pet bunny, Corvius. For eight incredible years, he brought joy, comfort, and unconditional love into my life. His passing left an unfillable void, but his memory and spirit continue to inspire me every day. ✨️ A Bond Like No Other Corvius was more than just a pet – he was my loyal companion, my confidant, and my best friend. From the moment I brought him home at six months old, he would follow me everywhere, sit with me, and even protect me with his presence. Our bond was unbreakable, forged through countless moments of play, cuddles, and quiet companionship. πŸ₯Ή The Pain of Losing Him Losing Corvius was like losing a part of myself. The grief was overwhelming, and I spent three days and two nights mourning the loss of my dear friend. But even in death, Corvius taught me a valuable lesson. As I held him in his final moments, he let ou...
