Anger 😑🀬

Anger is one of the enemy's most subtle weapons, often beginning as a small spark of offense, a wound, a harsh word. If it is not brought under God's authority, it can quickly become a raging fire that consumes everything around it. The Word of God warns us about the dangers of allowing anger to take root in our hearts. Proverbs 29:22 says, 'An angry person stirs up conflict, and a hot-tempered person commits many sins.' Anger has a way of dismantling what once stood strong, tearing apart friendships, dividing families, poisoning marriages, and leaving destruction in its wake. Words spoken in anger can cut deeper than knives, and once released, they cannot be taken back. Anger not only harms others, but it also torments the one who carries it, robbing the heart of peace and filling the mind with constant turmoil. The enemy loves to whisper lies, and in moments of anger, replaying offenses, magnifying hurt, and convincing a person to hold on to bitterness. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:26-27, 'Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil a foothold.' When anger is nursed and fed, it opens a door the enemy is eager to walk through. But God, in His mercy, does not leave us trapped in the prison of anger. The same Word that warns us also gives us hope and instruction. James 1:19-20 says, 'Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.' The Lord calls us to slow down, to guard our tongues, and to allow His Spirit to rule our hearts instead of our emotions. And here is the beautiful grace of God: even when we have allowed anger to rule us, we are not beyond redemption. The Lord is a healer of hearts; He can take the bitterness, the pain, the wounds that fuel the anger, and replace them with His peace. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, 'Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.' Through Jesus Christ, we are given the power to lay anger down at the cross. The Holy Spirit teaches us patience, gentleness, and self-control.

What once destroyed relationships can be replaced with words that heal, restore, and bring life. Anger may try to rise in the heart, but it does not have to rule the heart. When we surrender our emotions to God, He transforms them. Where anger wants to build walls, His love builds bridges. Where anger tore things down, His grace restores what was broken, and that is the power of a heart yielded to Christ. So, do not yield so quickly to the spirit of anger, but yield to the Holy Spirit, and the outcome will be very different.

Love ya 😘
