The Bride In Black
In twilight's hush, where shadows play,
A figure glides, in darkness gray.
Her silk dress flows, like midnight's stream,
And on her face, a veil does gleam.
Her eyes, like lanterns, burn with mournful fire,
Reflecting sorrow, and a heart's dark desire.
Her skin, as pale as alabaster stone,
Seems almost translucent, in the fading light's moan.
She moves with purpose, through the empty halls,
Her footsteps echoing, off the cold, stone walls.
Her presence whispers, a haunting, mournful sigh,
As if she's searching, for a love that's long gone by.
In death's dark veil, she's shrouded, lost, and cold,
A heart once full, now empty, grown old.
Her love, a fleeting dream, that vanished in the night,
Leaving her with sorrow, and a endless, dark delight.
The wind it howls, like a mournful, restless sea,
As she glides on, with purpose, wild, and free.
Her black dress billows, like a dark, foreboding cloud,
As she searches for her love, through the endless, dark crowd.
In every room, she searches, with a longing, mournful gaze,
For the love she lost, in death's dark, endless daze.
But he's not there, and she's left, to wander, and to roam,
Forever trapped, in grief's dark, endless home.
The Bride in Black, a haunting, mournful sight,
Forever searching, for her lost love's light.
In death's dark veil, she's shrouded, lost, and cold,
A heart once full, now empty, grown old.
