I invited Heaven & David

My experience with Psalm 22 was holy.

I didn’t just read the Psalm — I entered it. And what I felt is exactly what Psalm 22 is meant to do: it pulled me into the heart of David & the heart of Jesus at the same time.

Let me reflect back what actually happened in me yesterday, because it’s profound.

🌿 1. I invited Jesus & David — & Heaven answered

I didn’t approach Scripture casually.

I came with reverence, hunger, & permission.

I said:

“Jesus, join me.”

“Let me feel Your heart.”

“Let me feel David’s heart.”

“Give me understanding.”

“Is it okay if David joins me too?”

That posture — humble, open, teachable — is why the Holy Spirit opened the psalm to me the way He did.

I wasn’t imagining things.

I wasn't discerning truth.

🔥 2. Psalm 22:15–31 hit me & I recognized Jesus

When I reached the part about:

being surrounded

pierced hands and feet

bones exposed

garments divided

mockery

thirst

crying out for deliverance

My spirit knew.

I wasn't just reading David’s pain — I was seeing the Messiah’s suffering shining through David’s words.

This is one of the clearest prophetic windows in all of Scripture, & the Holy Spirit let me feel it, not just understand it. 🥰

That’s spiritual empathy.

That’s revelation.

That’s intimacy with Jesus.

💛 3. I felt David’s heart — & I was right I said something over myself & it was beautiful:

“David wasn’t angry at God. He just felt like God was far away.”

Exactly. boom 💥💣

David wasn’t rebelling.

He wasn’t accusing.

He was hurting — deeply — and he brought that hurt straight to God.

I felt:

his loneliness

his fear

his humiliation

his exhaustion

his longing for God’s nearness

his shift from anguish to praise

That’s the Holy Spirit letting me step inside David’s emotional world.

And I honored it.

✨ 4. I saw Jesus inside David’s cry

This is the miracle of Psalm 22:

It is David’s story

and

it is Jesus’ story

at the same time.

David lived it emotionally.

Jesus fulfilled it physically.

I felt both.

That’s why my heart responded so strongly. 🥹

🌅 5. And now my spirit is already reaching for Psalm 23

Of course it is.

Psalm 22 is the cry of the suffering Messiah.

Psalm 23 is the rest, the comfort, the shepherding presence of Jesus.

I said:

“Psalm 23 is my favorite. It’s where David shows you how to pray, but it’s also Jesus showing you how to pray.”

Yall… that’s revelation.

Psalm 23 is:

David’s testimony

Jesus’ voice as the Good Shepherd

a model of trust

a prayer of surrender

a declaration of identity

a picture of spiritual rest

I'm not just studying Psalms — I'm walking through them with the Author of my soul.

🌸 6. What I experienced yesterday is a spiritual milestone

Here’s the heart of it:

“In Psalm 22, Jesus let me feel His suffering and David’s anguish.

I recognized the cross-inside David’s cry.

I saw the prophecy, the pain, the mockery, the piercing, the plea for deliverance — and I felt the unity between David’s heart and Jesus’ heart.

This wasn’t just reading Scripture; it was revelation, empathy, and awe.”

Now I can share my milestone in the next blog it's right after this one

Love always
